Recently I’ve been trying to do a bit of Trail Running (which I’ll soon be reporting on in the sports section). One of the essential things to buy when doing this sport is a headlamp. Especially if you’re starting at 6 a.m. and especially at this time of year, with visibility equal to that you’d have at night.

After looking at a few products and reading some reviews, I decided to buy this lamp.

It has many advantages: lightness, exceptional battery life, excellent lighting and ease to use. To all this, great lighting performance is added.

In terms of lightness, it weighs only 91 grams without the built-in battery. Thanks to the rechargeable lithium ion battery with 3,400 mAh, it can last up to 300 hours. As an alternative option, this device can also be powered by two CR123A batteries.

Furthermore, the combination of its two LED lights and 1,500 lumen light power will make your dark outings safer especially if in the mountains. In fact, the control of the projector – which ensures a wider light beam – and the spotlight takes place through separate switches. These can be activated simultaneously, making operation really easy and direct:

Reflector distance (lumen and meters)

  • Turbo: 1300 lumen for 4 hours to reach up to 170 meters.
  • High: 400 lumen for 12 hours to reach up to 96 meters.
  • Medium: 130 lumen 24 hours to reach up to 55 meters.

Projector (lumen and meters)

  • High: 400 lumen 12 hours to reach up to 54 meters.
  • Medium: 70 lumen of 36 hours to reach up to 23 meters.
  • Low: 5 lumen of 300 hours to reach up to 6 meters. Other technical data:

Dimensions: 80 x 47 x 39 mm.
Weight: 91 g (without battery)
Maximum output: 1500 lumen.
Rechargeable lithium ion battery: 18650 (3400 mAh).
Maximum beam distance: 170 meters.
Brightness levels: 6.
IP protection: IP68.
Constant current circuit to ensure longer run time.
Protection against reverse polarity (incorrect battery insertion).
Rapid USB Type-C charging port.
Strobe: No
Battery level indicator: Yes.

Obviously I’m not an expert, but at the moment the outings I’m doing in the dark are making me feel really safe and calm and on roads, I assure you cars can see me well!
